近几年来,车牌识别技术成为了一个热门。车牌识别系统集中了先进的光电、计算机、图像处理、模式识别、远程数据访问等技术,实现对监控路面过往的每一辆机动车的特征图像和车辆全景图像进行连续全天候实时记录,计算机根据所拍摄的图像进行牌照自动识别。该系统可以应用于路桥关口,实现对过往车辆的不停车收费,还可以置于交通要塞,实现对进出车辆的不间断适时监控,除此之外,车牌识别系统还可以应用在以下几个领域：
