Whether recorded in historical books or archaeological relics, Buddhism was introduced into China as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty and there were Buddhist statues. The earliest statues of Buddha were mostly bronze and gold statues, which were small and delicate to carry, worshipped widely in places, mostly in temples and public homes, or in niches of Buddhist pagodas and palaces. Chen Shou in the Jin Dynasty wrote the Annals of the Three Kingdoms (there is a bronze and gold Buddha statue in the Futu Temple from Yunrong Daqi) which is the first clear record of the bronze and gold Buddha statue in the history of China. From the physical point of view, the bronze Buddha statue was the earliest in the period of the Five Hu and Sixteen Kingdoms, and the sixteen Kingdoms was the period of the small court in which the northern minority nationalities were The original Buddhism from the Silk Road changed the folklore and the belief of Buddha. Therefore, Buddhism of the Sixteen Kingdoms was earlier than that of the South, and the more prosperous Buddhist statue art flourished in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Later, the rulers of Zhao, Pre-Qin and Beiliang accepted Buddhism with a more reverent attitude. Buddhist statue merits and virtues became popular in an instant. People were forced by the war and eagerly hoped to relieve suffering, and Buddhist statue art flourished. The bronze and gold Buddha statue of Zhao Jianwu in the fourth year (338 years) of his life is now in the collection of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, USA. It is the earliest known bronze and gold Buddha statue in China. It has been more than 1,700 years and remains intact.
